Daniel Holden is the founding partner of Holden Capital, with responsibility for the team structuring and arranging of senior debt, mezzanine debt, and equity facilities for its clients’ property-based developments and investments. Daniel’s core strengths are in Construction Finance and Joint Ventures with over 20 years of development and finance experience that includes project management.

Gary Connolly

Gary Connolly

Gary Connolly has over 17 years of experience in financial services, specifically in the banking and funds management sectors both in Australia and abroad. Prior to joining HCP in 2017, Gary spent 8 years with Trilogy Funds Management as their Business Development Manager and prior to that was employed by Citigroup and Deutsche Bank in key account management roles. His professional experience is underpinned by a tertiary background in Law.

Steve Wiltshire

Steve Wiltshire spent 27 years with Macquarie Bank as a director and National Portfolio Head of its Real Estate Structured Finance Division overseeing its construction finance and joint ventures, and 3 years as Executive Director of ANZ’s Institutional Property Group, responsible for the Queensland and the Northern Territory loan portfolio. Steve is an advisor to the group drawing on his extensive banking and JV experience to provide insights on transactions to the credit team during the credit review process.

Callum Short

Callum Short

Callum Short has over 9 years experience in commercial property and finance. Having worked in development and investment transactions at CBRE, Callum joined East Coast Invest as a project partner growing the development portfolio, before moving into a finance broker role with Holden Capital. Callum now heads up brokerage for Holden Capital Partners (HCP) to continue HCP’s growth and broaden its appetite within the private lending and funds management space. Callum has qualifications in Business and Real Estate/ Property Development from University of Queensland.

Mark Halle

Mark Halle has over 25 years’ experience across a wide variety of industry sectors. An accountant, Mark has for the past 14 years worked in the property and property financing industry, including 10 years with Ray White Invest as their Investment Fund Manager and more recently  four years as the Fund Manager of the AU$250m Premium Income Fund operated by Wellington Capital and FTI Consolidated which had some 10,700 investors.

Paul Wood

Paul Wood

Paul acts for HCP on a consultancy basis as Head of Credit and brings with him over 25 years of experience in the property finance industry. He has a strong knowledge and understanding of the industry and has worked across various sectors, giving him diverse experiences. Paul has a proven track record in providing efficient and effective services and is experienced in managing mortgage trusts, consulting with property industry professionals, identifying potential development sites, working on joint ventures, and due diligence and feasibility management.

Matt is a highly experienced corporate finance and accounting professional with over 18 years working at Nab, PwC and EY.  Specialising in property finance, Matt has worked with a wide range of customers to provide effective capital solutions.

Vanessa Pace

Office Manager

Vanessa has been employed in the finance industry for over 15 years having obtained experience in a building society and with aggregator and financier FirstMac.
